Frequently Asked Questions
-
It is very rare for a dress to come as a perfect fit from the designer. Most dresses need a hem, bustle and some bodice work, whether that’s taking in the sides or adding a dart for a better fit. At your first fitting we will address all your concerns and make sure you feel secure and confident in your gown.
-
We recommend booking your first fitting as soon as possible. Please make it a minimum of 6-8 weeks before your wedding or event date. If you are concerned about weight fluctuations please try to book closer to the 6-8 week timeframe but if that is not a concern for you then feel free to book further out from your event date.
-
Along with your dress, please bring your wedding shoes and any undergarments you plan to wear to your first fitting. Your shoes are very important as we cannot adjust a grown hem without them. If you do not have your shoes yet but know what height you will be wearing then it would be wise to bring a pair with the EXACT same height as the shoes you intend to wear.

Every dress is unique and therefore so is every quote. Wedding dress alterations typically cost $500-$900 depending on the amount of alterations needed and the style/intricacy of your gown. Bridesmaids and formal gown alterations generally cost $60-$150.
We will provide an accurate quote at your first fitting so you know what to expect and agree to the cost before we get started with your alterations.
-
Payment in full is due at your final fitting before you take your gown home. If you booked a wedding gown first fitting, your deposit will go towards your final invoice. You can make your payment with card, cash, Zelle, or Venmo.

Most brides do not need to wear a bra with their dress because most wedding gown have a built in corset and cups can be sewn in for added support and lift. If our dress doesn’t have much structure or your bust size is DD or larger a bra or corset may be required.
Any other undergarments you plan to wear like underwear, shape wear, or a slip would be nude in a shade as close to your skin color as possible.
